This year we are highlighting our work with refugee communities in Australia and in particular our partnership in South Sudan - enabling people from the Dinka community in Australia to connect with their home country to rebuild educational opportunities for their children after decades of war and civil conflict.
We are thrilled to announce that we have:
- Santino Yuot as a guest speaker. Santino is a former refugee, a tireless advocate for education in South Sudan and indigo foundation's Project Coordinator. He has just returned from South Sudan this month and will give a first hand account of our work in Wedweil and the political context in South Sudan.
- Helen Kapalos as a guest speaker. Helen is the Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Commission as well as an accomplished journalist, presenter, executive producer and filmmaker. On the night you will Helen's passion about supporting Victoria’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- Genevieve Morris as MC. Genevieve is a much-loved Australian actress and comedian. She is bound to make the night fun!
Ticket price includes delicious three course meal catered by the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and wine.
